Description: My client, a leading automotive company are looking for two developers to proactively work with the various business areas and the product development team to develop, test and support the “Product” software that maintains the flow of work and delivers business efficiencies.
PROVIDING BUSINESS SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS · To understand the function, role and activity of the assigned department. · To write code to agreed standards in the defined languages that may change from time to time · To ensure that the written code conforms to the quality standards of the development team. · To assure that code produced is of the highest standard with the lowest failure rate possible for the work package parameters provided. · Work with and report to the Project Team to refine expectations, feedback ideas and clarify requirements. · Accurately assess and estimate for any given specification the personal development effort required to complete that job. · Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects. · Develop into existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification. · To maintain systems by monitoring and correcting software defects
· Candidates must be qualified to MCTS, MCSD or MCAD level. · Fully commercially proficient with ASP.NET v 2.0. · Fully commercially proficient with SQL Server/TSQL. · Demonstrable commercial experience of the full software development lifecycle. · Experience in client side programming including HTML,CSS,JavaScript & AJAX. · Experience in Reporting Services 2003/2008.
· Delivery of software solutions to meet specification. · To deliver on time and to agreed targeted deadlines. · Robust testing of software. · Quality and Quantity of work and attitude adopted.
· Additional responsibility may be agreed on a temporary or permanent basis to meet the business programme of growth or support individuals development. · Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by line manager. · To take responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and others whilst at work.
