Description: My client, a leading IT services company, are looking for a strong Oracle OID (OIM-Oracle Identity Manager) Solution Designer to work on a government site in Hemel Hempstead for 4 months (with possible extensions).
The Oracle OID (OIM-Oracle Identity Manager) Solution Designer will work in a team developing, testing and supporting the OID (Oracle Internet Directory) environment for use by the projects application services .
Within the Programme, the Solution Designer role has the responsibility for analysing high level architectural and conceptual design documentation, and producing high-level and low-level design documentation sets sufficient for implementation and handover to support teams.
Key Responsibilities
· To take architectural/conceptual solution design documentation and solution requirements, and to produce individual solution designs from this over-arching documentation set
· To engage with the technical assurance function to ensure that all solution designs are in line with design constraints, and that the defined technical assurance process is followed, culminating in sign-off of the design documentation
· To attend defined document review sessions
· To work with project managers and project teams in the delivery of this design documentation
· To hand over in a structured manner the design documentation to the implementation team, and to provide ongoing advice and guidance throughout the build phase
· Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of consultants responsible to the planning, design, development, build and implementation.
· To adhere to appropriate standards and strategies that must be followed to ensure a successful outcome.
· Comply with all relevant NPS security policies
Key Skills and Experience Required
Experience working within a large enterprise / managed service contract in a design/implementation role
Significant IT experience in a number of enterprise environments, with previous roles incorporating hands-on technical experience, and recent roles incorporating design work
Experience in a design or architect role
Excellent documentation skills
Good understanding of technical governance mechanisms
Process driven approach to work essential, as is excellent personal organisation skills
Commercial awareness
Proven ability to create complete designs from conceptual architecture documentation
Excellent knowledge in OID (Oracle Internet Directory) Administration on a variety of Platforms including HP-UX and Wintel
Extensive experience in OID Infrastructure Design and Implementation
Experience in the integration of OID with Windows Active Directory
Experience of OID performance tuning and security lockdown
Good skills in Shell-Script, Perl
· High level understanding of HMG security requirements
