Job Title: 3rd Line Helpdesk Engineer
Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Overview of the role:
To provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally to our customer base, supporting the support team with technical solutions. Typical roles and responsibilities include (this is not an exhaustive list):
• Windows Server installation and support
• Windows Desktop deployment and support
• Mac & Linux deployment and support
• Microsoft Office 365 support
• Application support (Microsoft Office and other 3rd party applications)
• Active directory and group policy configuration
• Hardware installation (servers, desktops, firewalls, switches. Expectation that network patching will be completed to a high standard).
• Hardware virtualization management (through HyperV and VMWare)
• Firewall & Network Configuration (Dell SonicWall/Cisco and others)
• Monitoring and maintaining systems (inc. backup systems, alerting systems, anti-virus systems)
• Project planning (Typical projects include server migrations and 365 migrations)
• Update internal and customer documentation
• Testing and evaluating new software and optimising business processes

Accountable for:
• Answering phones within SLA
• Resolving Tickets within SLA
• Project planning and delivery
• Timesheet Entry
• To maintain knowledge of current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to our user community, including research techniques and resources
• Strong administrative skills to manage assets, licences, knowledge base and produce documentation to a high standard
