My client is a leading international automotive engineering consultancy. Due to new contract wins and continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an Embedded Software Engineer ro grow their growing team.
You will be crucial in the configuration and integration of complex automotive systems, helping to define solution architecture in development pathes.
Candidates must possess the following:
•Experience of embedded software within an automotive environment – AUTOSAR.
•Model development and auto-coding knowledge.
•Experience and knowledge of C programming language.
Areas of Responsibility
•To provide technical leadership and insight in embedded system development and integration. This will involve working across technical specialisms, adopting / and or establishing new processes and acting as a primary point of contact for your specialist area.
•To provide guidance and expertise to drive the architecture of the designed system to accommodate the requirements of new architectural drivers, e.g. Adoption of AUTOSAR.
•To provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced engineers with in your area of expertise.
Knowledge / Experience
•Embedded system development, preferable with professional experience of developing within:
?Traditional “hand coded” AND auto coded development within safety related applications.
?Model based auto coded development within safety related applications
?Hybrid development (combination of above)
•Configuration managed complex developments comprising multiple features with multiple developers delivering multiple variants simultaneously.
•Demonstrable professional experience with some or all of the following
?C programming language
?Static analysis methods and tools (e.g. QAC, LINT)
?Configuration tools (GIT, clearcase)
?Complex build environments,
?Mathworks tools (Matlab, Simulink, RealTime Workshop)
?AUTOSAR and associated Vector toolset (DaVinci)
•Experience working with a range of communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, Lin, Flexray).
•Knowledge of On board – Off Board Diagnostics and associated protocols (J1939, UDS etc.)
•A practical and pragmatic understanding of ISO26262 or other functional safety standards and the impact and influence they have on system & software development practise.
