Fibre Planner – Contract – Hybrid (2 days onsite) Dublin – Up to €225 Per Day

Join our client who is a global telecommunications company working on some of the most exciting telecom projects across the world. They specialise in design, deployment and support services and their projects span 90+ countries.

The Role:

As a Fibre Planner you will complete fibre network designs on a variety of project types using cutting edge GIS tools & design methodologies. The role will involve travel to attend customer meetings 1 day a week in Dublin in support of ongoing projects in Ireland. Role and Responsibilities Plan optical fibre paths and produce design packs such as; – Prelim Detailed Design (DD) / High Level Design (HLD) – Low Level Design (LLD)/ Detailed Design (DD) – SLD – Splice Sheets – BOMs & BOQs – Special Engineering Difficulty Planning Support & mentor graduate fibre planners and pass on knowledge as required Ensure client satisfaction at all stages Meeting delivery dates and design targets Ensuring all design guideline updates from customer are implemented in your designs.

Skills & Expertise:

Engineering degree with 1 to 2 years post graduate experience in FTTh 1+ years Fibre Network Planning experience is essential Proficient computer literacy skills in Microsoft applications Experience with network design packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, FOW, MapInfo, AutoCAD, etc) Analytical, detail oriented, high level of flexibility with willingness to learn/develop. Ability to prioritise tasks & work to tight deadlines Strong interpersonal skills in both oral and written communication Excellent Microsoft office suite skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint Excellent written and spoken English required Full clean driving licence
