Python Developer – Equity Derivatives

Our consultancy client are looking for an experienced Python developer to work on a project with an investment banking client of theirs. You will be working designing software focussed on a cross language REST based n-tier architecture and executed using Agile methodologies.
You will be comfortable driving design and architecture, rationalising business requirements and mentoring less experienced developers in the team. Working with senior developers across other work streams as they integrate an increasingly complex product set. Quickly develop a thorough understanding of the clients technology stack. Design and develop new features within existing Python services and create new services to expand the overall framework. Contribute to future design and architecture and plan work in an agile manner with other team members. Improve and develop the CI pipeline and deployment strategies and work with the business and platform partners.
You will have extensive experience in designing and developing complex server side functionality in Python on Oracle or SQL and be proficient in writing unit, integration and acceptance tests. You will need a good knowledge of structured products (notes, warrants, certificates) within capital markets.
This role will require you to on site for 3 days per week and will be inside IR35.
