Technical Project Manager (Core Network Projects)

Location: Newbury (on-site 3 days per week)
Contract Type: 6-month contract, Outside IR35
Clearance: Must be SC Cleared or eligible to obtain clearance

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our client’s team, focusing on core network projects and programmes. This role demands a highly technical individual with expertise in Nokia upgrades, BGNs, modernisation, and migration projects, who can step into a leadership capacity during stakeholder absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee technical delivery of core network projects, ensuring seamless execution.
• Act as the technical point of contact during stakeholder absences, confidently addressing project-related queries and challenges.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Attend the Newbury site three days per week to ensure consistent on-site project management and collaboration.
• Engage with key stakeholders and clients to drive project progress and success.

Key Requirements:

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Nokia network upgrades, BGNs, modernisation projects, and migrations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core mobile network infrastructure and associated technical challenges.

• Experience:

  • Proven track record in delivering modernisation, upgrade, or enablement projects within a telecoms environment.

• Other Requirements:

  • Must be SC Cleared or eligible for SC clearance due to the sensitivity of the projects.
  • Willing and able to work on-site in Newbury three days per week (non-negotiable).

• Duration: 6 months
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
