Job Details
The role is hands on involving the management of a site acquisition caseload, securing necessary consents in line with property contracts and within defined parameters. The role is also strategic in nature, where your acquisition expertise twinned with knowledge of the portfolio will help to shape customer delivery programmes at their inception, with informed forecasting and war room delivery techniques at the centre of the philosophy. The Acquisition Surveyor will work through any issues or blockers, presenting options and solutions to management for approval.
The Acquisition Surveyor will undertake negotiations directly with landlords, portfolio partners and their representatives. They will be responsible for fostering constructive relationships with the strategic portfolio partners. They will manage suppliers including designers, agents and solicitors, participate in progress review meetings, provide accurate status updates and forecasts and ensure deliverables are achieved in a timely fashion.
The Acquisition Surveyor will be responsible for taking a range of property matters off the critical path of customer delivery, and that could include negotiating a new code agreement, undertaking a lease renewal, completing an assignment, implementing a rent review, dealing with a health & safety defect, securing a wayleave, resolving a dispute or clearing an underlying title issue. They will also be responsible for supporting the acquisition of any replacement sites that may be subject to a notice to quit from a landlord.
To provide a trusted interface with other areas of the business including Network Services, Finance, Site Access, Asset Management, Health & Safety and Legal. Provide expert support to the business by providing advice on a variety of property agreements and the nature of any consents that may be required.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Acquisition Surveyor will be part of a team of property professionals based throughout the UK.
Experience in the telecoms sector is desired as is background experience operating in a network rollout environment and/or an estates management function.
