Financial Cost Controller

Job Title: Financial Cost Controller
Location: Warwick
Contract Type: Permanent
Sector: Telecommunications
Salary: £24,000-£28,000 per annum

Role Profile:
Providing support for all financial aspects of an end to end business unit, working closely with the SCADA Project Director, Commercial Manager and Finance Business Partner.
Production of accurate and timely financial information monthly – mainly project profit and loss accounts, revenue recognition, forecasts, accruals, wip and reconciliation of project costs within Oracle
Liaise with project and business managers to ensure robust financial controls to track and identify project costs, their correct allocation and presentation in financial reports eg contract reviews, OSM reviews etc produced by PM, reviewed by MA
Month end procedures including cost accruals, journals, etc
Production of P&L monthly latest view, forecasts and annual budgets. Understand variances to forecast and budget against actual costs incurred
Financial reporting – P&L month, YTD & full year commentary.
Cost forecasts
Assistance in the production of actual cost applications of payment to the Client. Reconciliation of payment certificates against actual costs incurred
Identify and improve financial processes to ensure effective information is provided to aid decision making
Liaising with external auditors and addressing queries
Ad – hoc requests
Assist the SCADA Project team with financial information and advice

Business Operations Skills – Experience:
Experience working in a management accountant role within a project environment.
Self-motivated
Good communicator
Able to manage heavy workload & strict deadlines
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.
Attention to detail
Oracle experience preferential

Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience with commercial experience advantageous
Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C with at least B in Mathematics
