Job Title: Head of Procurement

Role Profile:
We are looking to attract a dynamic, charismatic, strong minded, Head of Procurement, someone with credibility who won’t be fazed by the demands of working within our high profile, half a billion-pound contract. You will report directly to the Contract Services Director and manage all aspects of procurement for one of the biggest Telecommunications Infrastructure projects there has been in the UK. This is a rare opportunity and one that is demanding. It requires a strength of character that comes from working at a similar level within complex environments.

The Project:
This company have been awarded the contract for the operation and management of a critical component of national infrastructure supporting the country’s 4,400-mile strategic road network. This contract will provide an end-to-end managed service to build, maintain, and modernise the network.

Typical Deliverables:
•Effectively manage a team of 4 in order to seamlessly deliver procurement excellence throughout the contract
•Manage the supplier relationship across a range of key technology suppliers
•Strategically direct decisions around supplier and category agreements
•Oversee the accurate governance around expenditure and budgets
•Reporting/monitoring/addressing of Compliance to Contractual terms and QEHSS regulations
•Provide leadership and guidance on risk and asset management
•Manage 3rd party vendor audits and benchmarking

What we are looking for from you:
•Demonstrable stakeholder engagement within complex supply chains
•A background in IT/Technology environments would be particularly beneficial
•Previous experience of managing projects/mobilisations in large national/ global department
•A credible presence with the ability to challenge effectively

Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:
•Educated to degree level or experience gained in a FTSE250 procurement leadership role
•CIPs is desirable
•ITIL qualified is desirable
