Quality and Innovation Manager

Job Title: Quality and Innovation Manager
Location: Flexible + Travel
Contract Type: Permanent
Sector: Telecommunications
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Job Overview
Some of what you will be doing will include:
• Leading a team that is focussed on improving speed, productivity and quality of network construction
• Owning and maintaining construction quality standards, ensuring they are consistently applied nationally
• Putting in place a robust system of benchmarking, inspection and testing that provides a high level of assurance and evidence for compliant installation standards
• Working closely with the internal Compliance team, to ensure there is close integration between legislative compliance and construction quality standards
• Owning all construction lessons learned and ensuring that they are fed back into training and standards
• Drive the delivery of at least 4 projects per year that yield measurable improvements in construction delivery speed, productivity and cost efficiency and which are deployed into the supply chain
• Driving an innovation and continuous improvement culture across the business
• Engaging directly and proactively with the delivery teams and supply chain partners to embed the quality and CI approach into the daily routines and mindset

To be successful in this role you’ll need:
• Extensive experience in civils infrastructure construction, preferably in fibre/telecomms installation – or able to demonstrate transferrable, relevant skills from other sectors
• Track record of leading continuous improvement and innovation culture in a business, with evidence of measurable, realised benefits
• Lean Six Sigma experience desirable (or Lean Practitioner)
• Great team leadership. Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers.
