In his current role, he leads new business development efforts for our IT staffing services, specialising in building partnerships. Richard takes a consultative approach, aiming to build long-term, trust-based relationships. His in-depth knowledge of the industry makes him the go-to person for ensuring our recruitment strategies align seamlessly with the unique needs of each client.
Toby, has seamlessly transitioned into the recruitment industry while maintaining his passion for semi-professional football. With experience in customer service and football coaching under his belt, Toby brings a unique blend of interpersonal skills and a strategic mindset to this role. His time in customer service honed his ability to understand and meet client needs, while his coaching background has instilled in him a strong sense of leadership and teamwork. Toby's diverse experiences and commitment to personal growth make him a valuable asset in the recruitment field.
Having worked in both retail and target-driven roles, Josh understands the importance of delivering exceptional service and meeting goals which will support him adapting to a role in Recruitment. His approachable demeanour and drive to succeed make him an asset to the Telecoms Division. With a keen understanding of the importance of building lasting relationships, Josh is dedicated to finding the best candidates for each role.
Mark founded Fuel Recruitment in 2003 and has worked in the technical recruitment industry since 1994, initially supplying contractors to the telecommunications industry and later working within IT and Broadcast for contract and permanent placements as well as delivering large Managed Service solutions. He has vast experience managing and growing teams of recruitment consultants and sizable budgets. Mark drives a values based culture and promotes high quality customer service, which is fundamental to Fuel Recruitment’s method of working. He has overseen the Company as it has grown to become the market leader in its sectors, winning a host of industry awards most notably Fuel has been on The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track and more recently named as one of the “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain” by LSEG, celebrating the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK and Europe.
Murray is one of the founding members of Fuel Recruitment. As Head of Sales, he is responsible for all Sales and Business Development activity across all divisions of Fuel. Murray has over 20 years’ experience in recruitment and is widely regarded as an expert in IT and Telecoms with experience in recruiting for an enormously wide range of specialist roles. Murray is the lead contact for a number of major Telecoms clients focussing on International placements, Critical National Infrastructure and Government Communications. He has worked closely with Public Sector leaders and their departments to resource against innovative projects across the United Kingdom. Typical projects have included digital strategy, transformation, content design, agile development and delivery, project and programme delivery, testing, security, service design and in-life support. Murray has a successful track record in helping private & public sector organisations including Home Office, FCO, Cabinet Office, DBS, MMO, DEFRA, HMRC, CQC and VOA.
Sam is a Lead Consultant within our IT division, focusing on key areas that include Core Infrastructure and Data Science. Working closely with key clients across the country on both Permanent and Contract opportunities, Sam has developed a strong understanding of his target markets. Providing an exceptional service to both candidates and clients, Sam successfully sources Analysts, Developers, Engineers and Project Management teams.
Steve began his recruitment career with Allegis Group as a Resourcer, before joining Fuel Recruitment as one of the founding members. He is responsible for developing and managing Fuel’s long-term operations strategy in order to ensure that we have robust processes in place to support our overall business objectives. He is also responsible for the delivery of effective recruitment services to our clients. With a track record of over 20 years’ experience within the recruitment industry, Steve passionately strives to ensure that the standards of excellence set by Fuel are met and that we continue to deliver a quality, legal and compliant service that is of the highest standard and professionalism, treating our candidates and clients with the same care and respect that we would hope to be treated with ourselves.
Ellie is our Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator, responsible for a variety of administrative tasks supporting our sales and delivery teams, clients, and candidates. She also manages our social media and marketing, with a particular focus on creating on-brand content to boost our online engagement. Ellie is an experienced administrator with 10 years’ experience in HR, Operations, wedding planning plus an entrepreneurial spirit having successfully built her own homemade fudge business. She joined the team in January 2023 after having missed the office life, the feeling of being part of a team and making a difference.
Lorraine has worked at Fuel Recruitment since 2003 and is a Director of the business. Initially being responsible for “all things payroll and back office” she now works as a Financial Controller. She has a Diploma in Business and Finance and is qualified in Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll trained as well as being certified in bookkeeping. Her tasks include general day to day accounts, credit control and payroll administration. Lorraine initially worked in London for a number of well-known modelling agencies and has balanced a successful career with her charitable work with Bliss and being a Mum to 3 children, the eldest of whom is now at University.
Elaine joined Fuel in 2011 as Financial Controller. Following an office re-structure, she took control of the Back Office Team, looking after everything Finance & Administration. Her career has involved running the office functions for a variety of businesses. Industries worked in have covered a broad spectrum from software development, body armour manufacture, mobile phones and a media company running background campaigns for large Media companies and top football clubs in the UK. Elaine has many relevant qualifications & memberships which are all Finance & Administration based showcasing her expertise: BA (Business Administration-Hons) / AAT Professional Diploma (level 4) / Institute of Certified Bookkeepers / Institute for Supervision & Management / Sage Accounts & Payroll. She has many years of experience in all areas of management accounts, office administration, personnel management as well as commercial & company secretarial duties, She is also a trained ISO internal auditor. As office functions evolve it is Elaine’s responsibility to ensure that the team keeps up with changes.
Katie joined Fuel in 2017, due to being able to adapt and turn her hand to different tasks has progressed to work in a number of different roles in her time here, starting as our Talent Acquisition Manager, now progressed into our Operations Manager. Her career started in HR, she then made the move into Internal Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, and Operations, working across a variety of industries including Banking, Automotive and Recruitment. She has supported the creation and implementation of recruitment processes and driven hiring strategies across a range of skill sets. Katie manages the end to end recruitment process for all internal hires, including the on-boarding and training of staff. She helps to develop and deliver our bespoke “Fuel Academy of Training” programme to our Recruitment Consultants aiding the growth of Fuel Recruitment.
Joe is our Principal Consultant working across the Telecoms and IT sectors within permanent, contract and scope of works. Having joined Fuel after working in hospitality for 17 years, Joe knows how to provide the very best customer service and has built long-lasting relationships with his candidates as a result. Joe provides recruitment services to a number of major clients focusing on the Cellular, Fibre, Critical National Infrastructure and Government sectors both across the UK and Internationally. With a track record of success placing C-suite professionals, Project Managers, Design Engineers, Site Surveyors, Test Engineers as well as Fibre Instillation Teams, Wireless Engineers and Coordinators.
After enjoying roles in fast-paced environments such as the NHS and Digital Sales, Efthymios joined Fuel to put this experience into practice. He has a degree in Psychology, which gave him the tools to build around his critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Working within Fuel’s busy Telecoms division, he is no stranger to the industry’s demands across the Mobile, Fibre and Critical National Infrastructure sectors. He is focused on working with the best talent for our clients, through building successful and trusted relationships. Efthy specialises in placing Wiremen, Radio Engineers, Design Engineers, Fibre Engineers, Product Managers, and other Telecoms specialists, both on Contract and Permanent basis.
Phoebe understands the importance of being able to deliver a consistently high level of customer service within an ever-changing environment following her experience in retail. She now specialises in Fibre Telecoms, supporting the growth of our Fibre Division utilising her passion in building relationships and helping both candidates and clients alike. Throughout her time at Fuel, she has placed industry specialists across all levels, including Programme Directors, Heads of Departments, Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.
Rich specialises in IT. Having previous experience as a Retail Manager in the telecoms sector, he has in-depth industry knowledge of the changing world of technology. His role as a Principal Consultant involves liaising with clients to ascertain and deliver resourcing solutions, on both contract and permanent IT assignments across the UK. Richard has specific expertise in mission-critical national infrastructure, IT services and solution architecture – he prides himself on creating long-lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike.
