About the Role
This is a pivotal, senior-level role that spans the full contract lifecycle – from pre-award governance and negotiation through to post-contract delivery and transformation. It’s ideal for a commercially astute and strategically minded professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
Key areas of responsibility:
🔹 Pre-Contract Governance, Pricing & Risk
- Lead the review and negotiation of commercial contracts.
- Conduct risk assessments and pricing analysis to inform decision-making.
- Ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
🔹 Post-Contract Mobilisation & Operational Readiness
- Support mobilisation activities post-award to ensure readiness.
- Interpret contractual obligations and manage in-life pricing and performance.
- Oversee compliance and collaborate with internal teams to optimise delivery
🔹 Transformation & Performance Analysis
- Contribute to business transformation initiatives.
- Lead performance reviews and commercial analysis.
- Deliver insights that support strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies and governance frameworks.
- Leading tender processes and evaluating bids.
- Conducting contract risk analysis and cost modelling.
- Negotiating fair and commercially viable contract terms.
- Drafting and reviewing contractual agreements.
- Managing contract mobilisation and stakeholder alignment.
- Driving business development and identifying growth opportunities.
- Overseeing cost management and financial reporting.
- Leading change management and transformation projects.
- Engaging with stakeholders across legal, finance, operations, and supply chain.
- Developing pricing strategies and commercial models.
- Monitoring in-life contract performance and ensuring value delivery.

✅ Essential Requirements
- Strong understanding of contract structures, including the ability to interpret complex clauses and identify key obligations and risks.
- Proven experience in pre- and post-contract negotiations with successful commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage in-life contracts, ensuring compliance and performance optimisation.
- Experience delivering business transformation projects that drive efficiency and growth.
- Operational understanding of Repair & Maintenance and Network Build contracts.
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in pricing and transformation analysis.
- Solid grasp of contract law and commercial risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including workshop delivery.
- Attention to detail, methodical approach, and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and hold a valid driving licence.
- Degree-level qualification and/or recognised professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial/contracts.
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including pricing models, P&L analysis, and governance.
