Electronic Design Engineer

Electronics Design Engineer, Gosport
Located in Gosport, my client is now expanding their existing design team by recruiting an Electronics Design Engineer.
Working as part of a small team of design experts, and under the direction of our Head of Design and Test, the Electronics Design Engineer will be involved in the delivery of innovative electronic design projects and associated test solutions.
A key role in design with responsibility for the delivery of innovative and cost-effective design solutions, on time and on budget, meeting or exceeding customer requirements.
Qualifications, Experience And Skills:

• Electronics related degree/HND – significant demonstrable experience may be considered in lieu
• Proficient in the design of innovative, high-reliability, power-efficient electronic circuits for use in demanding environments
• Experience of PCB Design
• A good understanding of the principles of designing for success in EMC testing
• Experience of working with various micro controllers and micro code
• Experience of designing circuits with JTAG interfaces
• Pro-active problem solver and out-of-box thinker

Desirable:

• Experience of electronics cooling simulation software
• Knowledge/experience of designing Intrinsically Safe circuits
• Knowledge or experience of Automated Testing
• Practical exposure to software programming
• Knowledge or proven ability to interpret defence standards
• Experience in a fast-paced Aerospace or Defence Quality manufacturing environment desirable.
