Position Details
Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: On Site – Leicestershire

Job Purpose
The Project Coordinator will execute and deliver engineering projects that meet quality standards, budget requirements, and timelines for both clients and the business. This role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and aligned with organizational goals, while monitoring progress and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination

  • Execute presented plans effectively, adjusting based on work fluidity within designated frameworks
  • Work through priorities based on predetermined schedules and coordinate reactive works across departments
  • Report resource allocation issues and plan developments to Project Managers
  • Update trackers created under the PMO process with received information
  • Manage workflow to meet client deadlines by prioritizing and coordinating engineering team work

Quality & Standards

  • Uphold quality standards by following best practices, guidelines, legislation, and company processes
  • Maintain attention to detail by checking and verifying all engineering documents, drawings, calculations, and data for accuracy and consistency
  • Meet operational targets set by management team while adhering to company policies, standards, and values

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain clear communication with clients, understanding customer needs versus business needs
  • Conduct regular client communication including conference calls and face-to-face meetings
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, proposals, presentations, and documents showcasing engineering achievements, challenges, and outcomes
  • Coordinate and process information to manage expectations and enable accurate progress tracking

Administrative & Support Functions

  • Process completion information and AFP data for client payments and sub-contractor payments within designated timeframes
  • Maintain and distribute accurate personnel whereabouts while cross-referencing training matrix for on-site competency
  • Distribute forecasted plans to internal and external labour based on resource allocation
  • Monitor generic email inboxes and respond accordingly
  • Attend regular internal project meetings and execute specific engineering productivity tasks
  • Support Project Managers in information gathering and verification activities
  • Liaise with supervisors and build managers to obtain verification of measures and SPO evidence

Additional Duties

  • Cover other coordination roles as required by business needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative ideas
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn new skills with proper training and support

Essential Requirements
Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in scheduling and planning
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Computer literacy with exceptional understanding of Microsoft applications
  • Understanding of NRSWA and traffic management

Desirable Requirements
