Job Purpose:
To carry out the day-to-day developments of a design through the design process.

Main Duties:
Undertaking site visits, meetings and surveys of projects for the purpose of obtaining sufficient data to prepare structural reports and designs.
Completing structural reports, structural design calculations and specifications.
Liaising closely with your Line Manager and/or Senior Engineers for mentoring and development.
Liaising with clients and other third parties to interpret the needs of the design and to communicate on any issues encountered
Communicating with Technicians to provide sufficient deign information and sketches for them to detail the project.
Checking the drawings prepared by the Technicians to ensure it matches the design calculations.
Ensuring works are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Identify the need for further Geotechnical investigation and liaise with Senior Engineers and any other individuals necessary to make suitable arrangements.
Liaising with the relevant parties in any format to provide all necessary information and supplemental information and respond to enquiries as and when required in a timely manner.
Ensuring proper management of the filing system, template folders and database to the specification communicated.
Follow up on leads, enquiries and submitted quotations and invoices within a reasonable timeframe when requested to do
Providing mentoring and training support to members of the team when requested to do so.
